Huerta Los Tamarindos is an organic farm and restaurant located in San Jose Del Cabo. We offer farm tours, cooking classes, and also can provide an outdoor event center for parties and gatherings.

CHEF ENRIQUE SILVA

Originally from Sonora, Mexico, Enrique Silva arrived in Los Cabos in 1990 armed with a degree in agricultural engineering and a love for Mexican cuisine learned in his mother’s kitchen as she prepared daily meals for his large family.

The effortlessness guests feel at Tamarindos is the result of decades of hard work, manual labor, vision and purposefulness, all manifestations of an agricultural and gastronomical dream Chef & owner Enrique Silva. Raised in Navojoa, Sonora, in Northern Mexico, Silva’s journey to culinary excellence took root in his childhood kitchen. Silva’s late mother, Ramona, viewed cooking as an art form and a celebration of culture, as well as an obligation to feed her family of 10.

Tamarindos is a culinary destination in a rural setting just 5 minutes from downtown San Jose del Cabo. The dry river and dirt roads are part of the experience of this extraordinary place.

Our Story

Since 2010

Tamarindos cooking school was born in 2010. The restaurant opened a year later. Today, Tamarindos has grown exponentially in scope and acreage but retains a simple, vital authenticity.

The Food

Fish is purchased daily at the marina from local fishermen. Tamarindos raises its own Cornish hens and quail right on the farm. The restaurant’s lamb barbacoa is sourced from a nearby farm, as is its pork shank. Pasta is handmade daily.

We only use the highest quality of ingredients for all recipes. Focus is always to serve and present a memorable dinner.
